About this picture - Hollow Ichigo of Bleach, sword across shoulder

Hollows originate from a plane of existence known as Hueco Mundo, Spanish for "Hollow World," kanji translates as "Hollow Domain"), a vast barren desert which any hollow can access by tearing a hole in space. While in Hueco Mundo, most Hollows can sate their hunger simply by breathing the spirit-rich air, and are thus threatened only by other Hollows who have turned to cannibalism or conquest for power and sport. Hueco Mundo is initially portrayed as impossible to access by non-hollows, but techniques for traveling there are eventually revealed, and Hueco Mundo is conquered, first by Sōsuke Aizen's arrancar army, and later by the Wandenreich. Most parts of Bleach's story which are set in Hueco Mundo occur specifically in and around Las Noches, Spanish for "The Nights," kanji translates as "Hollow Night Palace"), an enormous white domed palace constructed over the court of Barragan to serve as Aizen's base of operations. - ypmidn00174 - Camera settings: 1/125 sec at f / 3.5 - 85 mm - ISO 800 - Camera model and lens: NIKON D600 - 85.0 mm f/1.4
